The cyclops is very forgiving and, even if it gets damaged, you can repair it. ![]() Seriously, patience, no lights, silent running, and, like was mentioned above, use your cameras to help guide you through tight places. If you run your cyclops on slow, you'll almost have to rub up against the leviathans to get their attention. But, taking the cyclops down with lots of resources and building a scanner room will make life so much easier for collecting the Crystalline sulfur and nickle, you'll kick yourself for not just doing it anyway. Nickle is hard to see, a small ore that you usually have to be pretty close to to even notice. it can wiggle into even the tightest spaces and I don't have to worry about oxygen while exploring.Įither way, you're on the right track. ![]() I rather like exploring that alien lab in my seamoth. It will work, and, since you're more confident in the seamoth, it will give you the nickle you need to get your PRAWN and cyclops ready for the big move to down below. But there are many things around the map that are randomized between playthroughs. The terrain, locations, and biomes are all static in Subnautica, so the map itself is not randomized. Also, your seamoth is capable of getting to the area with big tree and blue water in Lost River.
